We are excited to welcome 2023 and with it a fresh new take on signature Juliette Hogan watercolour prints. Hand-painted, our Butterfly Organic Cotton and Butterfly Silk have no lack of love from the JH team and community, as one of our hero prints from the first collection of the year.

Wanting a refreshed take on JH prints, our senior graphic designer took to hand painting individual butterflies. Using a loose, wash, watercolour style, with some of the wing edges blending into the background creating a delicacy to the design.

To add contrast and depth, our designer, Louise, then added sharp, black bodies to the butterflies to bring them to life and allow the design to find a centre point.

The colours of the butterflies were then manipulated to find combinations that complement each other and entice the eye. Juliette and Alice loved the idea of two colour palettes, warm and cool, and wanted to bring each iteration to life with two different fabrications, silk and cotton.
 

Adding a new dimension to signature JH prints that we know and love, the Butterfly Organic Cotton and Butterfly Silk are the perfect lightweight and luxe additions for late summer styling. We hope you love it as much as we do.
