FROM JULIETTE / NOVEMBER 2021

For me this lockdown has been full of mixed emotions, at times filled with gratitude for the time to spend with family and embracing simple pleasures like being requested to sew all of the soft toys matching dresses, and on the other hand concern for the ongoing impact this period is having on people, businesses and our country. Overall I am just so extremely grateful for the support that you have shown us over this time - thank you.

As we begin to emerge from lockdown, I wanted to take the time to share some thoughts from us at Juliette Hogan:

AUCKLAND STORES / We are so excited to be able to open the doors of our Auckland stores this week after 12 weeks of closed doors. Particularly our Newmarket store that has had a beautiful renovation that we were ready to unveil just as we went into lockdown.

We also have some amazing new store managers - Emily in Britomart, and Lidiya in Ponsonby who are both excited to be able to start to meet you in person.

COLLECTION LAUNCH / A lot of time and energy has been spent by the JH team planning & problem solving what this extended retail closure and restrictions could mean for the business. Initially we had intended to launch Collection 2021.FIVE this Wednesday. However, following the announcement that Auckland stores could re-open, we made the decision to delay our launch date by two days until this Friday 12 November. This delay is to give our team a chance to re-adjust to day-to-day customer facing activity and operations, and ensure that everyone is feeling confident and comfortable to operate safely within this new framework, and without the added pressure of a launch.

I wanted to take this opportunity to please ask that you follow the protocols clearly outlined in all stores. Have patience with our in store team during this time, know that they are doing their best to meet your needs, and be mindful that this could be a challenging time for them.

CHANGING PRODUCT DROP DATES / As you can appreciate having the stores closed for such a significant amount of time has been challenging. With the reduced period of time to sell our summer collections in our retail stores, we have made adjustments to some in season product drops dates. These include removing some product stories completely, others dropping at a later within the season, or carried through into next year. We don’t make these decisions lightly and do so with our business, brand and customers at the forefront.

GARMENT AVAILABILITY / We have been blown away by your response to our summer collections so far. It is so wonderful to see how positively you are responding to our beautiful new prints, palette and silhouettes. With the overwhelming response, we do have a few styles and sizes that have sold out much more quickly than we could have anticipated.

We are genuinely sorry if you have missed out on a piece that you have your heart set on – we know this can be frustrating.

As is the nature with online shopping we do receive returns of a number of garments, so please reach out to our team to see if they can secure one of these for you, or help you to find the perfect alternate piece.

FASHION WEEK / I am thrilled for both NZ Fashion Week and for our team at the announcement of rescheduled dates in February. Everyone in the JH Team had been working incredibly hard to bring our presentation to life, and it will be all the more special having had this postponement. Our fingers and toes are crossed for a green light for this event in 2022

Thanks again for all your support and we can’t wait to see you again soon. Please feel free to get in touch with us via phone, live chat, DM or email if you need any extra information, we are here to help.

Kindest

Juliette
