FROM JULIETTE / DECEMBER 2021

My last blog from the year, and what a year it has been. Overall I am moving into 2022 so proud of my team and everything we have achieved, and excited for what is to come. I thought I’d take this opportunity to share a few standouts for me both personally and professionally.

JH CHRISTCHURCH / We started off the year with opening our flagship South Island store in Christchurch. It is such a beautiful space that talks to the evolution of our brand over the years. You instantly feel nurtured and like you have come home when entering the space. I love the South Island and have visited many times exploring and adventuring throughout the landscapes. It has always given me a huge amount of inspiration and it is great to finally be able to share with our South Island community the full JH offering and experience.

CPAG / I am so proud of our alignment with Child Poverty Action Group NZ (CPAG), and all that we have contributed over the past 14 months of our partnership. With your help, in 2021 we have donated $14,000 through the sale of our JH Bloomers & JH Facemasks as well as 15% of revenue from our Black Friday promotion. The work CPAG do for tamariki living in poverty in Aotearoa is so important and we grateful to be able to do what we can to support them in this space.

NEWMARKET BUSINESS AWARDS / Juliette Hogan Newmarket was the recipient of the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award earlier this year which is a testament to both our in store Newmarket team & the Head Office support for all the work that they do to ensure that our customers feel nurtured, valued and part of our community. This was such a highlight for us.

WESTPAC BUSINESS AWARDS / In August we were announced as finalists in 3 categories: Strategy & Planning, Customer Service & Marketing. Again, this is a huge testament to the team. We look forward to the awards dinner in January where the winners will be announced. A huge amount of time and energy goes into this business by my team and I am so thrilled to be recognised alongside some of the best with these nominations.

AMISFIELD UNIFORM & ROSÉ COLLABORATION / This was a dream project to work on from the very beginning. A dreamy autumnal day at the Amisfield Vineyard nestled at the foot of Mount Pisa saw us harvesting grapes and seeking inspiration for a new bespoke print for the uniform and our collab Rosé label by soaking up the breath taking surroundings of the certified organic vineyard and talking with the Amisfield team, so passionate about their wine making process. This has been such a joy to work on and I am so thrilled with the final product. We love Amisfield and all that they do and look forward to many more occasions over the coming months to support each other and to celebrate our partnership.

SUSTAINABILITY MILESTONES / Excited to have a full year with our Sustainability Manager in place. We are making some great progress and really looking forward to outlining what we have been doing and what we will continue to work on with our first progress report due to be shared next year.

AUDI / Always a pleasure to work with the team at Audi. 2021 marks the 5th year of my ambassadorship and an absolute highlight was our collaborative A3 wrapped in our hero print for the high summer season, Sherbet Floral. We are looking forward to 2022 with Audi as our work together will highlighting our shared focus on the environment and sustainability.

FASHION WEEK / Early 2022 will see the showcase of our 2022.ONE & 2022.TWO collections at the rescheduled dates for NZ Fashion Week. It was heart-breaking not to be able to hold our show in August as our team had invested so much time and energy into the preparation for it. I love the excitement of a show, communicating our vision for the collection enhanced through lighting, music, hair, make-up, venue and people. It’s full of joy for me and the team, and we can’t wait to share this with you.

FAMILY / This year saw our big girl Myra start school which was huge for both her and us. I didn’t realise that one of the strongest emotions that I would feel towards a child would be pride. She is such a treasure and we love watching her grow and learn to navigate the world surrounding her. Daisie turns three just before Christmas, and like Myra, brings so much joy to our world. Both girls have a zest for life and strong, delightful personalities. I’m looking forward to spending quality time with them over the summer break up north with my parents and extended family. I’m imagining days filled with laughter, swimming, sandcastles, delicious food, puzzles, walks, reading, ice-creams, finding pirate money, friends, family, and just being still.

THANK YOU / It has been a challenging 12-24 months but I am so grateful for the support and love that you have all shown us during this time. Collectively we, (as individuals, families, communities and businesses) have been faced with situations that we had never imagined. I am so proud of the way that my team has risen to these challenges and feel so lucky to work with an incredible team of individuals. There is no way that we would be what we are today without all of the support and knowledge of our team and our community.

HOLIDAY / You can expect to hear a bit less from us over the holiday break via email and social media as our Head Office team takes a well deserved break. Our in store team will be on hand if you do need to reach out. You can see our holiday store hours here.

I wish the happiest of days for you over the coming days & weeks as we say goodbye to 2021 and welcome in 2022.

Thank you again for your support, it really does mean the world.
