Collection 2024.THREE offers up the opportunity to refresh the winter wardrobe, as we reach the halfway point of the year.
The temperature has cooled as has our colour palette. An original wintery print, tactile fabrics, and woollen coats lead the collection. Refined suiting pieces, and quiet staples provide poignant moments for the Collection’s considered pops of colour to shine through.
Collection 2024.THREE brings us the rich emotive strokes of our original Frosted Bloom print crafted from photography captured near our Workroom. We are also introduced to the shimmer and shine of Polished Satin, and the sequin radiance of the Stardust Elette Skirt - a reimagined version of a skirt seen during our NZFW 2023 show.
Amongst the pops of colour, we have tried and true staples in neutral tones, such as Foundation Suiting - a collection of purpose-built suiting available from our JH Stores all year round. Warm winter fabrics are here, including Wool, Cashmere, and also Perino - a luxurious blend of Possum, Merino and Silk.

POLISHED SATIN
Crafted from an eye-catching Polished Satin, the Derya Pleat Skirt and Em Skirt are the perfect event pieces. One providing body skimming elegance cut on the bias, with the other is a flowing statement. Both options are available in Black Shine and Pearl Shine, and are guaranteed to catch plenty of light, and compliments, wherever they are worn.
Our original JH print for Collection 2024.THREE, Frosted Bloom, is a print that grew from a chance encounter. Whilst walking to work, Loren, our print designer, passed a tree with fresh bright flowers, just across the road from our workroom. She snapped a quick photo which would become the starting point for the hero print of the collection, setting off a ripple of design choices across the offering.
Loren transformed this image into a digital collage, distorting, blurring, and manipulating the floral elements to create something new and original in blues, whites, and purples. Finishing with an array of winter tones appearing as if behind an icy window - finally becoming Frosted Bloom.
The Dion Crew has had a unique journey: originally created by Juliette with her husband, Dion, in mind, but ultimately ending up in Juliette’s wardrobe.
By her own admission, menswear is out of Juliette’s comfort zone, however, she decided to give it a go to create a warm winter sweater for Dion, as he had been after one for a while. Choosing to work for the first time with Perino, a luxuriously soft yet strong blend of Possum, Merino Wool, and Silk. The hollow structure of Possum fibres making the garment lightweight but insulating – trapping in the warmth. Additionally, a new manufacturing method meant the Dion Crew was also able to be crafted in one piece, essentially ‘seam-free’ providing a refined minimalist look.
Despite her ambition, the proportions weren’t quite balanced for Dion and the sweater ended up looking much better on Juliette herself – so she kept it, quickly becoming her favourite piece from the collection.
This is the launch of something new for JH. Juliette was looking to create suiting pieces that transcend seasons and trends – timeless tailoring that fits any lifestyle and is available year-round from all JH Stores. And thus, Foundation Suiting was created.
Launching with two contrasting silhouettes – neatly tailored or masculine – both with two Jacket and Trouser options, as well as a vest, which sits naturally beneath a jacket or can bring modern energy when worn as a top. Each piece has it’s perfect pair to be styled with, however wearers are encouraged to mix and match styles whilst incorporating their favourite JH styles and prints.
This offering will grow, with new pieces added throughout the year, and is offered in a 4-16 size range.
Our NZFW 2023 show saw an ethereal column skirt shimmering down the runway. Thus, sparking the inspiration for the Stardust Elette Skirt - a reimagined version of this sequinned moment. Crafted from archival sequin-embroidered JH fabric, the Elette Skirt is available in incredibly limited numbers. Designed to be radiant enough for events but refined enough to be paired back with a simple T-Shirt: this is a unique piece rich with JH history.
TIMELESS COATING - MORGAN COAT & CLEO TRENCH
Classic coats in timeless silhouettes, in both neutral easy-to-style wardrobe staples and contrasting pops of colour that brighten any winter wardrobe. Our Cleo Trench in Mushroom and Navy is a quintessential trench style with a subtle A-line. The Morgan Coat is a classic straight tuxedo-shape crafted from our Rosewood Twill. It is equally as warm as it is sophisticated.
