The Process

INITIAL CONSULTATION

You will have a personal hour-long consultation with Juliette initially to discover more about your special day and talk through style, fabric and colour choices. A $250 fee applies to this consultation, which is redeemable against your dress should you decide to proceed. From this consultation Juliette will create a hand drawn sketch of your dress to be signed off by you and from which the toile will be made. At this point you should feel confident to decide if Juliette Hogan Bridal is the perfect choice for your wedding dress.

FIRST FITTING

We will have made a toile (calico) version of your dress in your standard size and we will fit the dress to you. Allow 45 minutes.

SECOND FITTING

At this point, we will have made your beautiful dress in your chosen fabric. The dress will be unhemmed, and shoes will need to be brought along at this point. Allow 30 minutes..

FINAL FITTING

All alterations and hemming will have been completed. You will have a final try on with shoes to ensure everything is perfect. Allow 30 minutes.

ADDITIONAL FITTINGS

Extra fittings outside the above will incur an additional charge.

The Fine Print

  • A personal hour long consultation incurs a $250 fee that is fully redeemable against your bridal purchase should you decide to proceed.
  • We will work with you to finalise the design and commit to creating you a unique and handmade dress, in the agreed fabric, and we will have this ready for you by our agreed delivery date, together with a hand drawn sketch by Juliette of your bespoke dress.
  • Following your Initial Consultation, and on confirmation of your design, we will provide you with a written quote for your approval.
  • To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required after your Initial Consultation. The balance is due prior to delivery.
  • All orders are accepted at the discretion of Juliette Hogan Ltd.
  • Orders are required to be placed a minimum of 16 weeks before the agreed delivery date of your dress.
  • Should there be any changes to your design throughout the process that affect the cost, we will provide you with an updated quote in writing before proceeding.
  • If you choose to stop the work in progress, we request reimbursement within 7 days for the work completed and costs incurred up to that point, (less the deposit and any other payments you've already made).
  • We are committed to ensuring the process is mutually enjoyable, collaborative, and respectful. If any concerns arise during the design and creation stages, we'll listen and work with you to resolve them promptly.

WHEN SHOULD I START LOOKING FOR MY DRESS?

Juliette Hogan Bridal only offers 10 bespoke dresses each year, so we recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible to express you interest, work out if we are a good fit for each other, and to secure your booking. We would recommend design details to be being finalised around 6 months before the wedding. We require 16 weeks from confirmation of your design to produce your gown.

DO I HAVE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT BEFORE I COME IN FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

No, this is what we are here to help guide you with. We have expert knowledge of tailoring, fabric and fit, and a sensitive understanding of colour and tone to help guide you to the perfect dress for you. We do ask you to share any image references of what resonates with you following your Expression of Interest and at your Initial Consultation to help guide us and ensure that we are a good fit for each other.

IS THERE A CONSULTATION FEE?

Yes, all our Initial Consultations are an hour long and carry a fee of $250 which is redeemable on your dress should you choose to proceed with a purchase.

WHEN + HOW DO I CONFIRM MY ORDER?

Following your Initial Consultation, you will be provided with a written quote. Should you wish to proceed, at this point we require a 50% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due prior to delivery. We require 16 weeks from confirmation to produce your gown.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY FIRST FITTING?

We tend to organise first fittings once you have confirmed your order. Generally that will be 12-14 weeks before your wedding.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST FITTING?

The shoes and undergarments you’ll be wearing on your wedding day in order to have your wedding dress properly fit through the bodice, body and hemline.

HOW MANY FITTINGS WILL I NEED?

Usually, brides require 2-3 fittings to ensure a perfect look. We require a minimum of two weeks in between fittings for alterations. After the final fitting, we will steam and hang your gown in a garment bag for you to take home or pack for shipping.

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY WEDDING DRESS?

We usually organise the due date as well as your fitting dates once your order has been confirmed. Your gown typically arrives 2-4 weeks before your wedding date.

WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR DRESSES?

The price of a Juliette Hogan Bridal dress is dependent on a number of factors including the fabric, and the amount of work involved in creating the dress. Our bespoke bridal gowns start at NZ$5,000.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

We require a 50% deposit at the time of your order. You will then pay the remaining balance before receiving your dress.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PURCHASE?

We accept all major Credit cards, Eftpos and cash. Credit Card payment by phone, and online bank transfers are also possible.

WILL YOU SHIP MY DRESS TO ME?
