We catch up with Alice, our new Wellington Assistant Store Manager, to hear about what she is looking forward to most in this new role, her most anticipated pieces and favourite Pōneke spots.

Tell us 3 interesting things about yourself...
I took ballet lessons for 15 years growing up, and have recently been going to adult classes and loving it.
I have just returned home to Wellington after going on my OE around Europe and working in Dublin for a year. I love travelling and it was a truly life changing experience, but there’s no place quite like home!
I get my love of fashion and beautiful garments from my mum, who has been sewing for her whole life and even has a PhD in Fashion Studies.

How did you come to work at Juliette Hogan?
When I was looking for a new opportunity in the fashion industry, the things that were most important to me were championing Aotearoa based business, sustainability, and a company that genuinely cares about its people.
Of course it helps that I have always adored Juliette Hogan clothing, and the brand identity as a whole. This position felt like the stars aligning for me, and I am so excited to be joining team JH. There is so much talent and creativity here in NZ, and I am very proud to be part of that.
What are you most looking forward to as the assistant store manager in Wellington?
I can’t wait to build amazing relationships with clients and provide that signature JH service!
Helping women feel confident and beautiful brings me so much joy, and I am already inspired by the connections I have seen across the wider team. I’m also looking forward to being surrounded by beautiful garments every day.
What pieces do you have your eye on right now?
There are so many pieces coming through in Collection 2026.FOUR that I am excited by. The Rosette Haze print is stunning and so summery. I also love the clean lines of the Bernie Top and Kita Skirt.
Modern twists on classic tailoring pieces are my kryptonite – like the Boyfriend Pant and Harry Blazer.

ALICE'S FAVOURITE WELLINGTON SPOTS
FOOD
Ombra – delicious Italian small plates and sharing options. Great for brunch, lunch and dinner.
Swimsuit – my favourite spot to grab a coffee and a cheeky sweet treat. They have a few locations around Wellington, including Lombard Lane just across the road from our Wellington store.
St John's Bar – the best place to be on a sunny Wellington day! Such a great buzz.

CULTURE
Pegasus Books – the best second hand bookstore in Wellington. It is so cozy and there’s a huge variety of books. I can easily spend an hour in there without realising.

WELLBEING
EDDY Fitness Studio – My go to. They offer a range of small-group classes (barre is my favourite), the instructors are so friendly and the atmosphere is always great. Plus you are spoiled for choice on Cuba Street for a post-class coffee or drink.
