This October, sales of our new Motif Tote will support Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) NZ.

From 12-31 October, 100% of the revenue from the tote will be donated to CPAG, supporting their work advocating for child wellbeing in Aotearoa.

Add any product to your cart in October and you'll unlock the JH Motif Tote - $10, $25 or $75. Every dollar of it will go to CPAG.

A first look at the JH Motif

The tote also carries something new: our flower motif, hand-drawn by Juliette and created to become a JH signature.

Over time, the motif will appear across various JH pieces but the Motif Tote is the first place you'll find it. It felt right that its first outing should be in support of a cause so close to us.

Our partnership with CPAG

CPAG is a cause Juliette feels deeply connected to. Since 1994 the charity has worked to eliminate child poverty in NZ, championing every child's opportunity to thrive.

Our relationship began in 2020, and it is the longest standing of our community partnerships. Previous initiatives include donating sales from our CPAG x JH Bloomers to the charity, and we are proud to continue supporting the organisation and its mahi.

Why we choose to support

In its recently released A Manifesto to Reduce Child Poverty, CPAG reported that 169,300 children in NZ are living in material hardship with more than 350,000 in financially insecure households. A further 47,500 children fell into hardship over the past three years, says CPAG executive officer Lyn Amos.

She says these high rates of child poverty are not the result of economic necessity, but of policy decisions and neglect: "Child poverty is a political choice, not an inevitability."

By donating October sales from our JH Motif Tote to CPAG, we’re proud to continue our longstanding support for the organisation and its vital work.

You can still support CPAG by starting with a donation from as little as $5 (either one off or on-going), or sign-up to become a member to be kept informed about the important work they are doing to make long-lasting changes for tamariki in NZ.

Terms + Conditions

The JH x CPAG Motif Tote promotion runs from 12 October to 31 October, or while stocks last.
100% of the price paid for each Motif Tote will be donated to Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) NZ.
The Motif Tote is available at a price of $10, $25 or $75, selected by the customer at the time of purchase.
Online, the Motif Tote must be purchased with at least one other item in the same order. In store, the Motif Tote may be purchased on its own.
JH Reward dollars cannot be redeemed on the purchase of the Motif Tote, in line with our exclusion for charity items. Reward dollars may still be applied to other qualifying items in the same order.
JH Rewards are not earned on the purchase of the Motif Tote.
