Designed to flow through the winter season and into summer, each drop representing the season it launches within – Collection 2024.FOUR is a celebration and continuation of the 20 years Juliette Hogan has spent carving out her place in the New Zealand Fashion Industry.
We begin with winter’s icy touch seen in our original Illuminate Crepe, an abstract mosaic of cool toned splashes. Blues, purples and greens, are set on a soft pink base – evoking images of the natural world swirling together. Standout silhouettes, such as the Trapeze and Hera Dresses breathe new life into our ever-popular pleat designs. This palette continues into our hero print of the collection, Blossom Silk – a digitally distorted photograph of hanging blooms, given a kaleidoscopic quality.
As spring begins, our windflower blooms and grabs your attention as it pops on a dark base, referencing the change of seasons – out of the dark cold and into the warm hopeful embrace of spring.
Eventwear is elevated with sleek cuts and flattering fits, such as the popular Tuscany Dress and Em Skirt, set on flowing Silk CDC or the ultra-luxurious and structured Silk-linen. Moving with the wearer, Silk-Linen, is a strong yet fluid fabric choice for the warmer months. Its breathability and sheer-look has made this a personal favourite of Juliette and Alice’s.
Earthy tones take root during the mid-point of the collection. These hues arrive individually through our Organic Cotton Symi Dress and cropped Everly Shirt, and then fuse together to create Painterly Paisley. Through the use of khaki, terracotta, and beige, Painterly Paisley’s visible brushstrokes create modern floral motifs across a range of sundresses and stylish separates.
And thus arrives our warm bursts of colour. In time for the rise in temperature, our vibrant Tigerlily Twill in its’ tropics-inspired palette enters – triggering an optimistic warmth. Set on a shimmering base cloth, the orange, lilac and gold radiate from the fabric and, like flowers in a field, they soar beyond their warm green base.
Summer has arrived and the flowers are in full bloom on the soft cotton Buttercup Floral. A light range of breathable white-based staples. Flowing tunics, sundresses, and lightweight tops and bottoms, all adorned with pops of colour from across the spectrum. A simultaneous welcoming of summer and an exiting from spring – bringing the field of flowers along with us.
As a collection, Collection 2024.FOUR is a hopeful one, with pieces becoming brighter and lighter the further we go. It is a celebration of this 20 year milestone for the Juliette Hogan brand, and a poignant reminder that the best is yet to come.
