#JHKIDSART

During Level 4, we reached out to our community to encourage their kids to get creative with textile design for the opportunity to see their artwork translated on to a t-shirt.

We were blown away with all the amazing entries we received and the number of future textile designers out there!

We announced the talented winners at the end of L4 and we were able to begin production of their fabric and t-shirts in L2.

Firstly, our Senior Graphic Designer Louise scanned the original prints to create digital versions before reworking the artwork into a repeat pattern and then sending digital files off to Australia to have these printed onto a cotton knit fabric. The fabric was then delivered to our Morningside workroom to be cut by our Junior sample machinist, Emily. These pieces were then sent off to a local specialist manufacturing company to complete the sewing of the T-shirts. Once completed, we had these packaged up and sent off to our lucky (and clever!) winners, Aspen and Isabelle.

Check out Aspen's and Isabelle's incredible designs and the process involved in the creation of their T-shirts.
