Juliette Hogan at NZ Fashion Week 2025

On Tuesday 26 August, Juliette Hogan opened New Zealand Fashion Week 2025 with the debut of Collection 2025.FOUR. Set in the industrial surrounds of Shed 10, raw concrete floors were juxtaposed against a backdrop of luxe white draping - a space elevated with an atmosphere of quiet refinement.

“It’s about the arrival of summer, lightness, gathering, and the energy shift of the season – a return to warmth and the expressive beauty of dressing.”
– Juliette Hogan, Designer

The collection moved effortlessly between softness and structure, offering versatility from everyday wear through to elevated occasion pieces. Natural silks, cottons, and linens brought breathability and ease, while recycled polyester delivered the permanence of signature pleated styles. Bespoke show creations in fluid molten fabrics introduced light and movement, adding a heightened sense of celebration.

Creative direction, casting, and styling were led by Alice Feutz, Creative Lead at Juliette Hogan, working closely with Juliette to bring the collection’s vision to the runway with clarity and restraint.

Looks were completed with footwear from Bared Footwear, hair by Lauren Gunn and the Colleen team with Kevin Murphy, make-up by Josie Wignall with skin preparation from Raaie, and music curated by Cay Works.

Under the expert guidance of long-time collaborator Josie Wignall, make-up set the tone with radiance refined: dewy skin, soft tones, and a subtle light play creating a fresh-faced runway statement. Skin was prepped with signature Raaie products - the ultimate base for luminosity.

Hair, directed by Lauren Gunn and the Colleen team, focused on health and simplicity - strands finished with a pared-back polish that echoed the brand’s enduring aesthetic. “The hair was a study in minimalism. The brief was all about health over hype: strands that look impossibly luxurious without screaming for attention. For this show, we used hero products from Kevin Murphy including the Young Again Dry Conditioning Spray to plump, hydrate and deliver a mirror-shine finish,” Gunn said.

Footwear by Bared integrated seamlessly with the collection. “It’s been such a pleasure working with Bared Footwear - their styles integrated effortlessly with our looks on the runway. We share a commitment to design with integrity and longevity, and that synergy made the partnership feel really natural,” said Juliette.

Reflecting on the show, Juliette added “Fashion Week remains such an important moment - for our team, it’s an opportunity to come together and push ourselves creatively; for our brand, it’s about sharing who we are today and where we’re going; and for the industry, it’s about celebrating the collective talent we have here in New Zealand. And of course, it’s about the pure joy of creating and sharing beautiful clothes.”

A post-show celebration with Mumm and Antipodes unfolded as the final model left the runway. The luxurious white curtain backdrop seamlessly tracked her exit to reveal a striking 20-metre bar, lined with champagne and bathed in a warm glow, anchored by a dramatic, lush floral centrepiece. The transformation was both elevated and unexpected - the space shifting effortlessly into celebration as guests spilled onto the catwalk, glasses in hand, sharing in the delight of the moment.
