As we commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the Rana Plaza tragedy, we join the many in the fashion community by opening up our supply chain to show you, who made our clothes.
Avenue Clothing is one of our makers here in New Zealand. With 92%* of garments from the Juliette Hogan collection made in New Zealand, Avenue Clothing is our longest-standing maker and produce the majority of our pieces for each collection. (*Please note this statistic is specific to the Juliette Hogan collection and excludes JHL).
Every season Avenue Clothing produces garments to a high level of quality that aligns with the JH standard. We work closely with them from sampling through to bulk production and together, ensure our garments are made correctly and beautifully.
We chat with Steven from Avenue Clothing, about our relationship, his favourite piece of ours and why he loves being a part of the NZ fashion industry.
How long have you worked with Juliette Hogan?
Avenue has been working with Juliette Hogan since around 2006 and together we have created a long-established relationship through sampling and production.
What’s your favourite style/piece you have made for us?
One of the stand-out pieces of recent for me is the Morgan Coat, as it is a timeless piece of structural feminine elegance.
What do you love about being a part of the NZ fashion industry?
Besides making unique garments, I enjoy the passion that people working in the industry have and seeing their success through very hard work and love for their art.
