Introducing Kaeleigh | NEWMARKET

We chat to Kaeleigh, our new Newmarket Store Manager, about what she is looking forward to most in her new role, her most anticipated Collection 2022.FOUR pieces and her favourite Auckland spots.

TELL US 3 INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF…

I’m a big wine fan. It is a true passion of mine, so much so, that one of my bucket list items is to do a sommelier course.
I love a good board game! My favourite thing is to have a games night with my friends.
My favourite animal is a sloth, I think they are super cute.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT HOW YOU CAME TO WORK AT JULIETTE HOGAN...

After I had been introduced to the brand I did some research and loved Juliette Hogan’s values and community involvement. This made me really eager to be a part of such an inspirational and collaborative business. I also love that Juliette Hogan has an alignment with one of NZ’s best winemakers, Amisfield Vineyard… meant to be!

WHAT PIECE OF COLLECTION 2022.FOUR ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR?

I am really excited for the Fantail Short and Ailsa shirt in Shadow Floral. These will be a summer staple in my wardrobe.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO AS THE  STORE MANAGER?

Newmarket is a beautiful location and I feel very privileged to be the new manager. I'm really looking forward to meeting and building meaningful relationships with all the amazing clients we have, whilst helping them with styling, to finding the perfect pieces for every part of life / everyday life.

FOOD

Central Restaurant: Current fave is Elmo’s. Their pizza is amazing and it always has a good vibe. They also do a great bottomless brunch if you love a cheeky Aperol spritz  - I highly recommend booking in.

Elmo's Ponsonby

Day trip:  Tantalus Estate Vineyard, on Waiheke is amazing. The food is to die for and the wine even more so. They also have a brewery if wine isn't your thing.

Drinks: The Churchill at four points by Sheraton. The Churchill is a rooftop bar with amazing views over the city. They specialise in gin, and you can create your own gin and tonic with the vast selection they have available.

CULTURE

I love a good farmers market, as there are always some amazing finds and it’s a great way to support small/local businesses.

The Matakana markets are great on Saturday mornings. They have live music and vendors from the area catering to all types of interests.

WELLBEING

Forme spa is my favourite for a little RnR. They have locations all over Auckland and the team are warm and welcoming. I recommend the 60 minute customised massage.

ACCOMODATION

SO/ Auckland has to be one of my top stays. The interior was designed in partnership with WORLD, and the rooms are all themed to different elements inspired by Auckland and the history of the building. The rooftop bar HI/SO is great for a cheeky after work or weekend beverage on a sunny day with stunning views across the harbour.
