We chat to Lara, our Christchurch Store Manager, and Antonia, our Assistant Store Manager, about working at JH, their styling tips for collection 2023.THREE, and their favourite spots in Christchurch.

 

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

L: My style icons are the Olsen twins! I love how simple and polished yet relaxed their aesthetic is. It also helps that I share the same surname so I would always pretend I was their long-lost sister when I was younger!

A: I love to embrace my Italian heritage and adore food, wine, and having a good time!  


What piece of Collection 2023.THREE is your favourite, and how are you styling it?    

L: I absolutely love my Luca Dress in the Matte Crepe as the perfect black dress! I love how flattering the shape is. I feel so chic in it with the beautiful fluted sleeve, cinched waist, and dramatic long length. I casually style it with my black chucks and the Tuxe Jacket for daytime and then dress it up with some statement earrings, a pop of colour clutch, a bouncy blow wave and some stilettos for evening!
 
A: My favourite piece at the moment has to be the Wills Blazer. It is the perfect addition to elevate any outfit, and the relaxed cut is so timeless. I love to layer it with the Ever Cashmere Top in Navy and the crisp White Celine Pant. It is definitely a staple everyone needs in their wardrobe!  

 

 

What is your favourite thing about working at JH?

L:  I absolutely love working at JH for so many reasons! The main reason would be the people. We have such a supportive, inclusive, and like-minded team that makes coming to work every day so enjoyable and exciting! Our clients are so special to me, and I love building strong connections with every single person that visits our space. It is truly rewarding when a client leaves our space feeling the best they possibly can, whether that be purchasing their new favourite outfit or just popping in for a chat! 

A: I love to be part of such an inspiring brand that specialises in bespoke print design with truly timeless pieces. I really value how close knit our team is, and how involved we are within the brand. We are all so passionate and share the same core values!  

 

Where are your favourite places in Christchurch for food, coffee, and culture?

• For Food: Zeeks - the best Mediterranean lunch food plus it's located near the JH Store in The Crossing. 

 

 

• For Coffee: Gre3n Superfood and Juice Bar

• For Culture: Alice Cinema - An iconic Christchurch two-screen boutique cinema

 

 

ANTONIA:

 

• For Food: Francesca's Italian Kitchen - You need to try the limoncello martini!  

 

• For Coffee: Elements by IHF - They make the best latte in town.  

• For Culture: Christchurch Botanic Gardens
